As part of the standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist (HSA) automatically stops the vehicle from rolling backward while stopped on an incline. HSA disengages when acceleration resumes.
Integrated with the ABS, it regulates wheel spin at all speeds. Impending wheel slip during acceleration results in throttle control to reduce torque. In extreme situations – accelerating from pavement to ice – it will selectively apply brakes to help maintain control. It can also be turned off with a console-mounted button.
So important to towing control and daily safety and security, it’s standard on every Ram 1500. ESC is so refined it can anticipate the intended path of the vehicle to optimize vehicle dynamics. ESC features multiple advanced technologies including: Ready Alert Braking, All-Speed Traction Control, Hill Start Assist and Trailer Sway Control.
The available Park-Sense® Front Ultrasonic Park Assist System10 simplifies parking and manoeuvring. The 6 sensors integrated into the front fascia can detect objects up to 119.4 cm (47 in) away and 4 sensors in the rear bumper can detect objects up to 200.6 cm (79 in) away. Park Assist then calculates the object’s distance and displays it within the 7-inch customizable in-cluster display. Clear and audible chimes also warn you as you get closer to the object for safe and accurate manoeuvring.
